On October 20, the Yellowjackets were unfortunately defeated by Canton High School, with a score of 3-0.
So far, the fall season has been a tough one for the Yellowjackets. After several losses, the team has noted several key things they need to work on. Trevor Vaccino, a player from the Yellowjackets, offers his view on his team’s performance throughout the season so far: “I think that we’ve been playing all right, but we have some serious room for improvement and need to work on our skills as a team.” Just like any other video game or sport, it takes time to develop certain skills and make them effective. Vaccino also commented on his performance as well: “So far I feel like I’ve done alright so far in the season, but I need to be more aggressive. I’m more of a defensive player, so being aggressive is something I don't always do, but really should start doing more.” Working on other skills that you are weaker at can help you improve in the long run. When playing against other teams who show more aggression, that level of aggression needs to be met in order to put up a strong fight for victory. Though the team hasn’t been performing as well as they had hoped, they are still determined to work harder to turn the season around.
On October 27, the Yellowjackets will be playing their next match against Weston High School, which is currently in last place on the leaderboard. Let’s cheer on the Yellowjackets and hope they pull through with a win!
